  Overall very dissatisfied with my most recent experience here, it has been nearly a decade since my last visit to this restaurant. I ordered a filet mignon medium rare with a side of mashed potatoes and bearnaise sauce. It was served with a rare cold center on a cold plate. Typically I don't mind a steak showing up at the table more on the rare side because it usually continues to cook from the residual heat after serving but there was no heat in this thing and the cold plate wasn't helping. Based on presentation and texture of the meat at time of serving I assume that the steak was cooked in a souvide and allowed to cool before being seared for a finish on the outside. My mashed potatoes were cold within 5 minutes of being placed on the table and had probably already spent another 5 on the cold plate before making it to the table. Aside from the cool temperatures the most off-putting part of the meal was the bearnaise sauce, it had a particularly skunky smell that is not normal for a bearnaise and is typically indicative that something is bad. Experience has taught me to trust my instincts in these situations, your nose knows! Better to assume the worst than spend the night and next day with the double dragon. On the positive side, the cocktail servers were awesome and if you like gin I recommend ordering a 1911 and tonic on the rocks with lime.
