  Pep Boys is the worst. I've owned my car for 2 years and brought it in for a simple lube/oil/filter. When I went to pick up the car, the check engine light was on for the first time I've ever owned the car. My wife brought in her minivan around the same time. $1200 later, she had more issues than when she first brought it in. Pep Boys wanted to charge another $1200 to "fix" these other problems. When I called to share this pattern of troublesome interactions with their business, the manager hung up on me. Avoid these hacks at all costs and save yourself time, money and aggravation.
